    Barber Road like to keep things traditional. We know what people want and our no-fuss attitude and taste for quality has led Barber Road to becoming one of Edinburgh’s foremost barbershops, for those in the know.

    At our central location on Easter Road EH7, we take appointments and walk-ins with our unique blackboard system and we even have extended hours on Thursdays, so breeze in late to get your groom on. We stock brands that offer our clients and staff the best in quality: Slick Gorilla, Bart's Balm and Apothecary 87.

    There is no feeling of pretentiousness at Barber Road. On one chair you might find some slick punk rocker, but next to him will be an old local plumber taking his grandson for his first trim. At the end of the day people from different walks of life converge to Barber Road for the same thing – a great quality haircut and service.

Elaine Barrie

Elaine Barrie

Proud owner and founder of Barber Road and has over 30 years experience in the hair industry. Starting out as a Stylist at Green’s Hairdressers in Edinburgh, then spent few years in New Zealand where she fell in love with gents barbering at Vinny’s Barber Shop. After that Elaine returned to Edinburgh and continued barbering.

In 2017 she lived her dream and opened Barber Road - a highly skilled barbering service and unique environment, with a strong presence within the community.

Now Elaine step off barber shop floor and enjoy her well deserved retirement. But time to time she comes back to her passion only for a walk-in servises.

Wiktoria Soroka

Wiktoria Soroka

Wiktoria comes to us from Poland with outstanding 10 years of experience.

Specialising in Scissor Cuts, Skinfades and Razor work. She has an excellent eye for detail and puts her all into getting the perfect finish.
